Spirt Week

Personally I do not enjoy participating in events like spirit week. I find them a waste of time doing trivial things that have no lasting effect on me. I know that some people find it enjoyable and can use it to interact with other people they would not normally meet but for me I find it little more than an attempt to inject some excitement into our day that serves no real purpose. Some of you may object to this but consider what you actually do when it's spirit week. How many new people have you met? Consider what the time could have been used for instead and how productive it was. It might have been worth it to some of you but to me it is a pointless exercise, not that I don't appreciate the work that has been put into this just how effective it is.

P.M. like last time I'll probably go back and expand this

Time? First of all, dressing up for Spirit Week takes about as much time as dressing up for a normal school day, unless you have so much spirit that you feel the need to put in 2 hours to dress up. I've nothing against people who do choose to do that, just saying.
Also, I'm sure you (and not just you, we all do) waste your time doing things MUCH more unproductive than just spirit week.

  3. I find it quite entertaining to watch. It certainly isn't pointless. Anyway, what do you mean be "productive"?

  4. Some of the Spirit Week Choices are rather inconvenient.

  5. Unlike some of you i don't have a large wardrobe that i can change in and out of since i hate shopping and usually stay home. So from my standpoint it does take a large amount of time and effort.
